In a world where searching for the ancient magical orbs can take entire lifetimes, it is an incredibly useful tool. The fact that she figured it out as a teenager is an indicator of her intelligence. She is the Tony Stark of the Dragon Ball series, even figuring out how to pilot a spaceship so the heroes can reach Namek and try to find their Dragon Balls after the ones on Earth go missing, following Piccolo 's death.
Bulma 's vast experience with alien life and technology has also given her a wealth of knowledge that has allowed her to build other impressive creations . She's built a battle armor, designed tools to take down androids, and the version of her from Future Trunks ' timeline was able to build a time machine. It was during this time that Vegeta was training on Earth for his eventual battle with the Androids. The duo ended up experiencing and sharing a surprising chemistry, which led to the beginnings of a relationship. The pair even conceived a son, Trunks . But their relationship continued to grow throughout the series. In turn, this ultimately proved to be the thing that convinced Vegeta to let go of his fury and begin to find a level of peace. The pair even married during the time skip between the Cell Saga and the World Tournament Saga . His attempts to resist these feelings failed when he briefly became Majin Vegeta , and he ultimately sacrificed himself in an attempt to save the world - specifically to protect Bulma and their child.
